That was the weekend that was...

Monday looms...

All those good intentions...

Complete the well-known saying: "The road to hell _____________________________________".

Don't relax too much, you guys!

For the four Iraqi gentlemen in the class - I enjoyed one of your celebrated dishes over the weekend - the famous mazgouf and it was an amazing culinary experience!

See you tomorrow or, better still, today, on the weblog!

Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow (to quote Shakespeare)

Hmmm, very tasty, Ahmed.

It would appear that you did not pick up that my wife is Iraqi, from Baghdad.

So, it was very apt that we enjoyed masgouf at the "Beit Al Baghdad" restaurant in Deira.

We shall return for another feast before we go to the UK at the end of July.

Thank you for the Iraqi kabab recommendation.

Tony

PS Where are the others? Licking their wounds or their fingers?

Hello Mr. Tony,
I would like to complete the saying "The road to hell is paved with good intentions".
Said to emphasize that you must not simply intend to behave well but you must act according to your intentions, because you will have problems or be punished if you do not.

by the way I used the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary to complete this saying. I gess we need good intentions and a strong- willed to do so.

Hello khawla,
khawla realy I hope you are right, but I think you are romantic lady, the road to the hell can not be paved with good intentions.the road to the hill is rugged,we have all nead to stragill, read, study, talk and listin, this is the paving materail of our road to the hill,We will not reach to the Hills crest if we dont mixe the above materail with sweat and valuble effort.
